Home / Park House / About us
Welcome to the beautiful Park House, sitting in 3 acres of stunning grounds in the hamlet of Kinlet. From here, we welcome local residents from Shropshire and Worcestershire – we’re roughly equidistant from Bridgenorth, Kidderminster and Cleo Mortimer – and also those from further away, keen to benefit from our exceptional advanced dementia care.
“The staff are not only professional but genuinely kind and compassionate. The home itself is clean, welcoming, and filled with life.”
Dedicated advanced dementia care
In our welcoming specialist nursing home, we are dedicated to supporting people living with complex and advanced dementia. With extensive experience across all forms of dementia, we provide expert clinical care alongside genuine human connection, because we believe the two should always go hand in hand.
We understand that dementia care is about far more than memory alone. It is about the whole person – their physical health, emotional wellbeing, personal history and social world. At Park House, therapeutic relationships flourish within a strong culture of “we care”, where every resident is known, valued and supported to live the best life possible each day.
Calm, structured support
Our residents are typically in the advanced stages of dementia and rely on others for most daily tasks. While memory and cognitive abilities may be severely affected, we know that individuals continue to respond to warmth, familiarity and gentle, meaningful connection. We create a calm, structured
and predictable environment that provides reassurance, reduces anxiety and supports overall wellbeing.
We offer 24-hour supervision to ensure safety, comfort and peace of mind. Our skilled and compassionate team provides full support with personal care, mobility and daily routines, always delivered with dignity and respect. We also support residents in communicating their wishes and needs, using familiar cues, consistent approaches and gentle reassurance to help them feel understood and secure.
Complex dementia specialists
Park House specialises in caring for people with complex dementia, including those who experience severe memory loss, cognitive impairment and complex behavioural or psychological symptoms. Each resident receives tailored, person-centred support designed around their individual needs, preferences and life story.
Our home offers a true home-from-home environment, where warmth, familiarity and kindness are at the heart of everything we do. Families are welcomed as partners in care and are supported and encouraged to remain actively involved in their loved one’s journey. Together, we work to maximise wellbeing, nurture connection and create a place where residents feel safe, respected and truly at home.
All this happens within a beautiful converted Victorian rectory. We’ve preserved its character—the high ceilings, period features, and elegant proportions—while adding modern accessibility features and telecommunications systems. Our accessible, well-maintained gardens enable fresh air, exercise and a change of scenery and family and friends are welcome to visit at any time of day.
Park House is part of a group of six care homes owned by the Butcher family, who place family values and exceptional care for residents at the heart of everything they do. While residents enjoy the warmth of a comfortable home in traditional surroundings, they also benefit from the investment in expertise and state-of-the-art technology that our wider network provides.
At Park House, we have some of the highest staff-to-resident ratios and some of the most impressive staff retention records in the industry. We are deeply experienced in welcoming residents whose needs have changed or increased since they entered other care home that can no longer serve them well or meet their changing needs. Unlike other Providers, which are driven by profits from minimising staff costs, we focus on succeeding by delivering the highest quality care.
This means that when residents join our ‘Park House Family,’ they receive:
- Highly-personalised care from a loving and compassionate team who know them extremely well
- An available and involved management team on hand 24/7
- The latest in care technology supporting every aspect of their care
- Real-time updates for their family via our online Family Portal
- The benefits of some of the highest staffing ratios in the care system

Our strapline ‘Because we care’ is very real and, as individuals and a family, we get very upset if we fail to deliver anything less than brilliant care.
I am personally legally and I feel, morally responsible, for each home and its residents. If I am not visiting a home, I am in daily contact with the Registered Managers and their teams. Our systems and processes are all geared to letting me and my directors know when things have not been done, and providing information to enable us to constantly improve.
We never think ‘this is great and it’s good enough’; we always strive to do better.

Our job is not just about making sure that there is no poor care: it is about instilling and maintaining a passion for excellence in everything we do. Part of my job is to ensure the smooth running of the homes with exceptionally fast purchasing. So, if a resident needs something, it is in the home within hours, not days or weeks.
I am also responsible for the décor and maintenance of the homes, making sure they are homely and fulfil the wishes and aspirations of each individual resident and their family.

Michael | Finance Director
My role as Finance Director is to ensure the long term financial sustainability of the care home. I am also responsible for Health & Safety, Data Protection and Information Technology.

I regularly work from our care Homes as it’s important to be hands-on, working with our teams to ensure that the necessities of regulation don’t detract from the demanding job of delivering great care.
Unlike many in the care industry, we are investing significantly in IT; we see technology as an effective way of constantly improving the quality of care and to continue to be more responsive to our residents’ and staff’s needs. Our systems tell us in real-time if things have not been done. Care is a 24/7 business and we work every hour necessary to ensure that issues are addressed immediately.
