“The staff are a credit to the manager – she certainly has an eye for recruiting the right people. Dad always had a smile for each of the amazing team.”
Park House in southern Shropshire is a family-run business owned by Geoff and his wife Zo, who have over 25 years of experience in the care industry. The couple acquired Park House in 2018 and work day to day with their daughter Hannah (Operations Director) and son Michael (Finance Director) to oversee Park House as part of a six-strong group of residential care and nursing homes across the country.
The Butcher family is committed to offering exceptional residential, nursing, and specialist care to everyone who chooses to live in their care homes. The family works closely with Park House’s Registered Manager Ruth and her deputy Kirsten to ensure that their commitment and values are embedded in all aspects of residents’ care.
The highly skilled and caring team at Park House has decades of cumulative knowledge and experience, much of which was built at Park House itself. We are proud to maintain some of the highest staff-to-resident ratios in the care system – feel free to ask to view the rota when you visit! All members of our care team are fully qualified and passionate about delivering high quality, compassionate care, with specialisms in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

At the heart of my practice is a simple but deeply held belief: to make the lives of those I care for the very best they can be. This guides both my leadership approach and my day-today work, ensuring that care is not only clinically safe, but emotionally supportive and meaningful.
Dementia care holds a particularly special place in my heart. I am passionate about seeing the person beyond the diagnosis, advocating for quality of life, and creating an environment where individuals feel safe, valued, and understood. I am proud to play a key role in fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and excellence within our home, supporting residents, families, and staff alike.
In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog in nature. I have a huge love for animals.
