Wellbeing and Activities

“There are so many lovely activities going on, from music sessions to arts and crafts, and even themed days, which keep residents engaged and happy.”

At Park House, we don’t just provide exceptional medical and personal care. We believe in caring for the whole person: mind, body and spirit.

Our holistic approach means that we not only help residents maintain their quality of life, but in many cases, families have seen marked improvements in their loved ones once they’ve joined our “Park House Family.” For example, residents have improved their mobility, moved towards a healthier weight, and begun enjoying life much more.

In addition to our excellent medical and personal care facilities, we focus on creating a strong and friendly community. Residents, staff and visitors are all encouraged to take part in the wide range of interactive activities on offer, which brings everyone together and keeps residents mobile and engaged in Park House life.

Regular activities include:

  • Singing and music sessions
  • Board games and puzzles
  • Flower arrangements and gardening
  • Arts and crafts
  • Shows from external performers
  • Wide range of specialist Dementia activities

All activities are chosen by and tailored for our wonderful residents. Our fabulous Activities Coordinators love learning about their interests to add new ideas to the mix!

We welcome visitors

At Park House, we encourage family and friends to visit whenever they can. We recognise that life gets busy with work and other commitments, so visiting hours are unrestricted. We will also ensure that residents are able to participate in family life and special celebrations, and we are happy to accommodate family parties or picnics in the garden or in Park House itself. Visitors can also take residents out for the day if they prefer to spend quality time with them in a different setting.

We support faith

We also support residents in practising their spiritual faiths, enabling visits from vicars and other faith leaders as well as organising transport to places of worship.

We protect dignity

Dignity is a huge part of wellbeing and we will protect the dignity of each resident fiercely. It’s embedded in the way all team members are trained to operate and our Dignity Champions work across the business to ensure this remains top of mind for everyone in everything we do.
