“During my aunt’s time here I feel her health and zest for life has greatly improved.”

At Holmer Manor, we don’t just provide exceptional medical and personal care. We believe in caring for the whole person: mind, body and spirit.

Our holistic approach means that we not only help you maintain your quality of life, but in many cases, families have seen marked improvements in their loved ones once they’ve joined our “Holmer Manor Family.” For example, residents have improved their mobility, moved towards a healthier weight, and begun enjoying life much more.

In addition to our excellent medical and personal care facilities, we focus on creating a strong and friendly community. Residents, staff and visitors are all encouraged to take part in the wide range of interactive activities on offer, which brings everyone together and keeps you mobile and engaged in Holmer Manor life.

Regular activities include:

  • Singing and music sessions
  • Board games and puzzles
  • Flower arrangements and gardening
  • Arts and crafts
  • Shows from external performers
  • Visits from various animals and associated therapy groups
  • Wide range of specialist Dementia activities
  • Monthly church services with our local vicar
  • Regular trips to local attractions

All activities are chosen and tailored by you. Our fabulous Activities Coordinators love learning about your interests to add new ideas to the mix!

We welcome visitors

At Holmer Manor, we encourage family and friends to visit whenever they can. We recognise that life gets busy with work and other commitments, so visiting hours are unrestricted. We will also ensure that you are able to participate in family life and special celebrations, and we are happy to accommodate family parties or picnics in the garden. Your visitors can also take you out for the day if you prefer to spend quality time with them in a different setting.

We support faith

We also support residents in practising their spiritual faiths, enabling visits from vicars and other faith leaders as well as organising transport to places of worship.

We protect dignity

Dignity is a huge part of wellbeing and we will protect your dignity fiercely. It’s embedded in the way all team members are trained to operate and our Dignity Champions work across the business to ensure this remains top of mind for everyone in everything we do.
